The children’s ministry at FRBC seeks to honor God by providing a balanced program of spiritual education for children from birth through teenage years. Our mission is to support parents’ spiritual training of their children by providing opportunities for each child to:
Gain the necessary foundation to know Christ as a personal Savior.
Grow in their knowledge of God, Jesus Christ, the Bible, and the church.
Identify practical ways they can go into their “world” serving others and sharing the love of Jesus.
Our ministry includes weekly Sunday School, Kidz Korner, Bible Drill, regularly-scheduled children’s activities, mission-involvement activities, and Vacation Bible School each summer.
The JOY Club was founded on October 11, 1983. It was organized to be a “fun club.” Some of the goals of the club are:
to establish a telephone program to keep in touch with each other – to report illnesses and prayer requests especially for the homebound.
to reach out to other people in need.
to have fun, recreation, trips, luncheons and Christian fellowship.
The JOY Club meets the first Monday of each month in the Fellowship Hall at FRBC. If you are interested in more information about the JOY Club, contact the office at 225-775-0884.
On the first Sunday of each month Foster Road Baptist Church goes to the Northridge Community Center on Baker Boulevard in Baker to minister to the people that live there. Bro. Mike Morris presents a Gospel Message each month along with the singing of hymns and refreshments and fellowship with the residents. The residents at Northridge hold a special place in our hearts and bless us time and again as we visit with them each month.

Mary’s House of Bread is a 501(c) (3) faith-based pantry and storefront.
FRBC is a monthly supporter of Mary’s House of Bread. Mary’s House services 8 zip codes with food. The majority of food comes from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Mary’s House also maintains a “burn out” room which provides families with bedding, kitchen items, etc. These families have lost items due to fire, flood or other disaster.
Chapel service is every Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Pantry hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. The storefront is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m.
