Foster Road Baptist Church was founded in June of 1964 by a group of Christians who prayerfully decided to build a new church in the Brownsfield-Kleinpeter area.  They met at Brownsfield Elementary School for several months until they were able to buy acreage on Foster Road.  Work started on the church building in March of 1965 and they celebrated moving into the new building that October. Two months later the building was destroyed in a fire, but the mission of Foster Road Baptist moved forward. They rebuilt and then endured yet another fire just two years later.

The history of Foster Road Baptist Church is a tribute to the people who have belonged, served, and willingly shared the truth of the Gospel with our community.
